Changing or resetting your email password
Get help with a forgotten mailbox password and update your email apps safely.
Request a password change
Contact Turner Digital Hosting with the email address and domain for the mailbox you need help with. Ask for the password to be reset. Do not include your current password. We will need to establish that you are authorised to access the mailbox before helping you regain access. Once it is changed, the new password works straight away.
After your password has been changed
- 1Keep the new password somewhere secure, preferably in a password manager. Use a unique password for this mailbox.
- 2Sign in through webmail to check that the new password works.
- 3Update the saved password on every phone, tablet and computer that uses this mailbox.
- 4Check both the incoming IMAP settings and outgoing SMTP settings, some apps store the password separately for each.
- 5Send and receive a test message. If an app keeps asking for the old password, check its saved account credentials before trying again.
If you suspect someone else has access
- Tell us promptly if you see unexpected sent messages, forwarding rules or sign in activity.
- A password change does not remove copies of emails already downloaded to another device.
- Never share a password or verification code in a support email, screenshot or contact form.
- Some accounts include control panel access where you can change the password yourself, ask us if you are not sure whether yours does.
